KHAMMAN MISSION

Shalom All,

When we are walking with the Lord according to His Great Plan, “And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will guide you with knowledge and understanding” (Book of Jeremiah 3 v 15).

I will not able to send any update report for two weeks to a month plus as I will be going to Morbi, State of Gujarat, as there is no internet access except communication through mobile line and it is a very small town. For your information, I might not able to do church planting in Morbi and we will be leaving from India either August or September 2008 as the following reasons below;

1.Jenny unable to adapt the India foods as she has difficulties to digest the foods. In the central of India up to northwest India, it is all vegetarian foods.

2.This is my second time mission visit to India, also my second time applied for my India Visa and I am not sure whether India Embassy will issue third time visa for me. My first visa is October 28th, 2007 to April 28th, 2008 and my second visa is April 29th, 2008 to October 29th, 2008. The two visas is too close to each other as it needs a break there.

3.Till to-date, we are still lack of funds on our mission especially for church planting in Morbi (refer to May 5th, 2008 email).

4.If we do church planting, we require to stays in Morbi at least 7 - 8 months due to 1 - 3 reasons above.

Up to-date, we had completed 40% of our mission in India and we will continue our mission as below;

1.Finding way to bring adoption for the orphan babies while working closely with Mother Theresa Mission of Charity at Morbi as babies need new parents as it will publish in the Mission Blog.

2.Evangelize the people in Gujarati people and other people in India as well concentration on children ministry.

3.To provide training to the minister of God (pastors and missionary organizations) when the time come, I am working closely with them.

4.Meeting the Lost of Tribes of Israel in State of Manipur.

Come to my update report. We reached the Kaneguda (15km or more to Hyderabad City), State of Andhra Pradesh on June 8th, 2008 around 7am. We stay a night at Bro. Jeewan’s friend home. When we reached there, I was invited to preach the Word of God at two churches and it was a Sunday. The first picture below is a small church started couple of months ago and the second picture below is a church cum children orphan house as it run by the late pastor’s family members as we spent time with the children there.

On the June 9th, 2008, we left to Khamman (it was a 6 hours journey by bus from Hyderabad City) together with Bro. Dyvakrupakar (a village pastor cum translator for me). On that day we arrived in Khamman (it is a town), there was an auto rickshaw (taxi or in Thai called tuk-tuk) strikes for three days and we have to take a public bus and then we walked a long distance to the villages. The worst things is the bus was fully crowded till the people have to sat on top of the bus and some people hits the bus very strong. It was quite dangerous as we were scared to see the people there. It was because the petrol prices increased and many auto rickshaws don’t want to work and bring huge problems to the people while carry long sticks. They also give warning to other auto rickshaws not to pick-up the passengers but to strikes only. We Give Thanks to God for the shield and protection over us. Halleluyah!

For 6 days in Khamman, we went to villages together with Bro. Isaiah (a village pastor) and Bro. Dyvakrupakar to evangelise non-believers, to preach the Word of God and house to house prayer. We started our mission in village from morning to late evening and visited 5 villages as well meeting the local village pastors. We also spent time with the village pastors and guided them through, on loving one another and be humble down (the Second Great Commandment that Jesus give - Book of Matthew 22 v 39) as many villages do judge and don’t have the caring for one another even they will fight with one another. If the minister of God shows a great example to the people by humble down by wash the people feet or feed the people mouth, the people will be touched but many of the ministers of God don’t do that anymore. I had feed food or drink to the village pastors even the villages people and the people received the touched of humbleness (Book of John 13 v 12 - 17). Above are the pictures and the Lord really touched their life…Glory to the Lord!

We would like to send our condolence to one of the village family, as I met this man who broken his bottom backbone rib and I prayed for him before he passed away. He left peaceful, without much pain and smiling face as the family said.

On June 15th, 2008, we left Khamman town and directly to Hyderabad for a night before we catch a train to Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay), State of Maharashtra. Now we are in Mumbai till Sunday, then depart to Ahmadabad by train and finally take a bus to Morbi.

When we reached Mumbai, it is like a second London as the old British buildings all around the main city, incredible and beautiful. The problematic is the people characters and attitudes towards the cleanliness of the city as they are very dirty. The accommodation here is expensive too then Bangalore or Hyderabad. Actually brother Nilesh (I met him my last visit to India) want to offers his place for us to stay, unfortunately, his mother-in-law came as little baby was born last two months and the apartment is small so we decided to look for cheap room. Then we couldn’t find any cheap accommodation, therefore we slept on the railway station together with the Indian people around. Moreover, Jenny wasn’t feeling well during that time. Finally, we able to get a small room at the backpacker place and I really thanks God for Jenny so patience and support toward me.

We will continue to share our excitement mission that ahead of us, the God’s great plan. We hope that you see the value in what we had accomplished. Our mission trip requires financial support as the Holy Spirit had touched many readers during our walk with God by Faith. Most importantly, I also need your prayer support. Prayer is the full fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry.

God Bless!

Blessing,
Pastor Steve Peter H S Kok and Sister Jenny Kok

TASK COMPLETED IN TIRUNELVELI

Shalom All,

In my journey with the Lord, I always put the Lord as my main priority as “The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song” - Book of Psalm 28 v 7.

We reached safety at Bangalore, State of Karnataka, India on last Monday but we arrived late by 4 hours due to the rail track traffic and now we are staying in India Campus Crusade for Christ. This coming Saturday evening, we are leaving to Hyderabad for doing God’s Work together with Brother Jeevan and his team (Nemalah Ministries mean Ants in Hebrew) for a week plus.

Last May 24th, 2008 evening, we went to the village church to share the Word of God to them and many people got touched by the light of the Lord. The surrounding of the church was extremely dark but the Lord is great as the Lord make the lesser light during the night (Book of Genesis 1 v 16). When we prayed for this people, one of the brothers got up and starts to help me to pray for all these people. God prepare us in difference way, and we learned to obey The Lord’s Commandments.

The next morning (Sunday), I was preaching in the small church near to our place and their worship and communion can take at least 2 hours. As Bro. John and I waited for my turn to share the Word of God to their congregations and I was given 35 minutes. It reminded me that I was attending an African church service that it can take 3 hours plus. This church is run by the family since 2 years ago. His son whom is worship lead will be going to New Delhi for mission field as I am covering him in prayer.

In the evening, we went to satellite church that was far from town and it was also the birth place for Bro. John. There were quite a number of pastors as well a number of congregations attended my preaching. The pastors was amazed the teaching and touched their heart. A married couple whom celebrated 25 years anniversary was given a souvenir and the pastors asked me to lead the prayer. We also visited some home around the area. One teenager came to me while he was drunk and asked me to pray for him as he was stressed over his studies.

Last Sunday morning, I was invited by Rev. Dr. to preach in his church and it was about 30 km away from our place and the city. The size of congregation is about 300 over and it is the bigger church that I ever preached in Tirunelveli. We attended the communion service and the worship songs are mix with Tamil and English, at least I can understand the songs and follow-up. On the same day, we are leaving from Tirunelveli to Bangalore as train depart around 4pm. We felt so stressed when we looked at our time 1.30pm and we still far away 30 km and we thought that we unable to catch the train. We were so worried during our physical mind, but the Lord asked us to calm down as we will reach there on time while we ready our spiritual heart mean have faith…our timing is belong to God and not us.

When we reached the railway station, I went to check our seats in the berth and I found out that our seats were cancelled. Jenny and I started to be worry as the train departed around 20 minutes. Immediately I went to the reservation counter and I told the officer about our tickets. Couple of minutes later, the officer able to secured our seats and we really Praise the Lord for his promise to us and all credits return back to Almighty Creator, our Lord. We appreciate the hospitality from Bro. John and his wife while we stayed there by providing us a room and meals for a month…May the Lord enrich his family. Nevertheless, we also appreciated Bro. Maharajan (auto driver - taxi) whom really brought us around the city and the bus terminal as well all the people we met people in Tirunelveli - Book of Psalm 72 v 17 and be blessed.

Now we are Bangalore - the India Silicon Valley and the city improve better since my last visited in November 2007. I met a few pastors around here and we didn’t do much here as we just visiting only. Below are some pictures of the city for your viewing.

I will delay my report to you as we will traveling out of main city (Hyderabad) for ministry depend on the internet connectivity there.

Thank you too for your continued partnership in prayer and financial support, as the Glory of the Lord will be acknowledge forever throughout the nation.

Blessing,
Pastor Steve Peter H S Kok and Sister Jenny Kok
