FIRST WEEK REPORT IN STATE OF TAMIL NADU, INDIA

Shalom All,

During our stay in Singapore, my friend also a Senior Pastor (I always treat him like a godfather to me) offered us to stay in the mission house and treat us a meal in Pizza Hut even though he was quite busy, he tried to spent time with us. The Lord is always good to everyone as the Lord prepares the way for everyone and we must be good to another.

We brought the ticket to Chennai (formerly known as Madras), India and the air ticket cost us around RM 1,300 using Air India Express for two persons. We took the flight on the May 5th, 2008 around 10.20pm at Singapore Changi Airport. When we saw the signboard on the weather in Chennai is about 41 degree in the day time and night time is about 32 degree, it is really hot during this summer.

We reached Chennai around 11.30pm (India time) on the same day we departure and it is too early to catch a train, therefore we waited at Chennai Egmore. During this summer, many people are travelling by train and it never been easy to get a train ticket. When the Reservation Counter opened, they told us that we need to go to Chennai Central, therefore we went there. There is a special counter room for the foreigner to purchase the tickets. We tried to get the train ticket on 9.30am for the special train to Tirunelveli, end up no ticket. We tried to find another alternative way to go there otherwise we need to wait at the train station till 9pm. At last the ticket issuer said that he found a two A/C seating that can go to Madurai that cost us around Rs 1,000 (RM 84) without choice, we took it as we were very tired and want to reach the destination quickly. From Madurai, we took another train to Tirunelveli as we reached there around 2.45am.

When we got down from the train, we saw Bro. John Jawahar Durai (pastor cum evangelist) together with another brother, I never met before and he used to work together with John and now he is doing part time ministry cum driving a motor rickshaw. He drove us back to John’s house and now we are staying in one of his small room.

On the following day (May 7th, 2007), we attended a wedding reception as invited by Bro. Ebenzer Palliah (a pastor cum evangelist + TV preacher) in the town. My first experience was an engagement wedding in Kottayam on my first arrival, now in Tirunelveli. It is always exciting when we see marriage going on, as God’s children is getting united. Halleluyah!

The next day in the noon, we went to attend the children ministry in the town. The children were so happy to see us there and asked us to come and visit them. I didn’t share Word of God but we share the joy and love with them. Even we feed the little baby goats around. When I saw a brother sitting down at the corner whom is blind and I sense that he is having a demon in him for a long time. I went and pray for him, he cried with joy as he felt the eye lids were recovering. Praise the Lord and all credit go back to the Lord.

During the evening, we went to a house fellowship whereby I was preaching in the house without any preparation but the Lord fully equipped me and the Lord want me to share about his two greatest Commandments. Bro. Ebenzer translate for me to Tamil from English while Bro. John made an introduction about me. Many people got touched with the Word of God and filled them up on how to love God before showing love to everyone.

When they requested individual prayer, I went with the Lord’s guidance and prayed for them. Everyone I touched, they started to cried as they felt the presence of the Lord is there very strong. Glory, Glory to the Lord for the Mighty Love to us. Amen.

For you information, you can reach us on our new India mobile number + 91 996 281 9176 as my previous mobile number is not working anymore. BACK HOME KUALA LUMPUR TO SINGAPORE

Shalom All,

Praise the Lord as the Lord always our protection when we were travelling back to Malaysia and now in Singapore.

Before going into the report, I want to emphasize my previous emailed “What is the difference between spiritual and physical?” Let us read the Matthew 22 v 37 on the First and Greatest Commandment that Jesus had said. Many of us don’t put God, our creator in the first rather than placing God on the second and family come first. Never forget the God is our creator, without God, there is no plant, no oxygen, no food even no us (human) around. God is in the form of spiritual and not physical, not many people feel the presence of God, only the selected one that is chosen by God under God’s plan, these include most of the religion leaders such as reverends or pastors never feel it before as stated in the John 16 v 1 - 3 (verse 3 stated very clear). Coming to this day, many church leaders have a great plan for God on building bigger churches saying it is the vision from God, nevertheless you need to check their spiritual life beforehand whether it is from God or something else. What God really want us to do, it is not building the church bigger but building people spiritual life while getting close to the Lord…to love and to joy with our Great Father. After building the spiritual life, read Matthew 10 v 16 - we will be send to test on our faith level whether in working life (like Job being tested by satan) or family life (like Abraham almost killed his son) and etc . Now a day, the churches are like synagogues and the church pastor with deacons is like religion law with the pharisees.

We left Bangkok on April 20th, 2008, many brothers and sisters want me to stay back and continue the ministry while giving me lots of supports. But nevertheless, I need to obey the Lord’s order as I need to leave the place as the Lord have a great plan for me to do…I just know the word “OBEY” in my heart. Praise the Lord as every heart got touched, it is the Lord’s work and I don’t deserve any credit out of it and return to the God’s Glory.

Do you still remember Pastor Prasit who conducted our wedding ceremony? On April 19th, 2008, Pastor Prasit shared about our simple wedding ceremony at Lumpini Park as he told my wife the next day we are leaving from Bangkok. One old man stood up and said that how about conducting these type of weddings ceremony for the unaffordable people for free and it is good to evangelism by sharing the love of God to them by giving the bride to the groom. It is a brilliant idea that the Lord had used us by giving wisdom to our Pastor Prasit to run this project. Let us all pray together and support this project.

After Pastor Prasit shared in the Lumpini Park, then he invited me to shares the Word of God. While sharing the Word, some people cried and receive the touching life from the Lord. Halleluyah!

When we came back to Kuala Lumpur, we went to Heritage Home (old folk home) that currently managed by my home church and it is a sudden surprised for the people around. The Lord asked me to pray for the people around, so I prayed for them. Some of the people got touched and one of the co-worker feel the presence of the Lord very strong, she kept on crying non-stop when I pray for her. Amazing touch, again Praise the Lord!

As our church wedding was conducted in Bangkok and we registered our marriage in Shah Alam, State of Selangor, Malaysia. It had been a tough days for us as we were running all around to get our legal marriage certificate done in Malaysia. Marry with a foreigner is not easy, many procedures you need to go through but marry a local people, you just need a National ID is more than enough. My friends became our witness to our signing paper. The procedure is like that my wife need to get the marital status from the Registration Office, then must translate to English while endorsed by Department of Consular Affairs and second endorsed by the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok. When we back to Kuala Lumpur, we need to get another endorsement from Royal Thai Embassy, then we need to get another endorsement from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and finally Headquarter National Registration Department in Putrajaya to give her a green light. At last, we are legally registered in my home state. As our love is so strong, we prepare to pay for the price for it as Jesus had paid our great price our huge sins. Thank you Jesus!

We had been very busy when we were in Kuala Lumpur, almost everyday we were out from 8am to 11pm. I would like apology if I never call or meet up with you, do forgive me and I hope that you understand my tight schedules. Even I want to conduct the conference, end up, my time is tight too and I decided not conduct it.

We left to Singapore on May 3rd, 2008 and staying in mission house as now I am typing this email. We feel more relax here as not much meeting around and we had been touring around.

Our flight to Chennai (formerly known as Madras), India is confirm today (May 5th, 2008) around 10pm from Singapore Changi Airport. When we reached there in India, I might face some internet difficulties as India is still quite backward country without WiFi and I might delay my report to you.

Talk about mission, I met a few missionary (foreigners) in Thailand and lately I found out that only 1% is Christians out of 84 million population. There are many Christian institutions in Thailand, if not mistake about 50 over institutions and started since 30 years ago. Read Matthew 9 v 37 - 38 as harvest is so great but the co-workers is so few. What happen to the missionary in Thailand? One of missionary told me that we do it consistency otherwise we fall and still studying Thai language for two years, another one studying for three years, helping out the church. As for me, I was in Thailand for 4 months since January 2008 after my short mission in India and I never go to school and study Thai language…but just learn to obey the Lord and amazing things happen in the short time. My great disappointment when I met this missionary person (more than 10 years) who is interested to make money from the contributors and claim to do church planting. The Lord will be judge for everything and Praise His Almighty Name.

Before I end this April 2008 report, May the Lord enrich the readers and Bless to be the Day. Halleluyah!

Blessing,
Pastor Steve Peter H S Kok and Sister Jenny Kok

WEDDING DAY

Shalom All,

Last tuesday is the great day for me as our wedding ceremony is already over. Many of you received the shocking news whether do believe it or not…thinking it is still April, must be an April Fool. Some people reply and some people didn’t know what to say, just like playing the music with a pause button.

We met Brother Prasit (also a church pastor) last Saturday when I was preaching at the Lumpini Park and many elders asked Bro. Prasit to conduct our wedding as we decided last Thursday. Jenny, my wife went through a long interviewed between Bro. Prasit and his wife. On that night, he planned not to conduct our wedding as he called us. Till the next day, the Lord asked him to conduct our wedding immediately and he decided to obey the Lord’s Commandment. We didn’t expect so many people attended our wedding include her relative from Hatyai, my disciple from Africa and other provinces of Thailand. Praise the Lord as the Lord’s Glory will be raise forever and ever. Amen.

Yesterday, we went to Kao San Road where all the western people and backpackers to celebrate the Songkran Festival as it will be over today (Tuesday). Always alert when you join in, all your carry items must put into a plastic bag to avoid getting wet and for female, be careful as the people will touch your private part (you can’t do anything, as too many people around).

Thank you for the people who is praying for us. God is good all the time and just listen and obey His Commandment. Amen.

Blessing,
Pastor Steve Peter H S Kok

THE APRIL 2008 ACTIVITIES

Shalom All,

Today is the day that the Thais people celebrate the Songkran Festival (mean Thai New Year) whereby people start throw or shot water (using water or cold ice) to everyone. Even the policemen also playing with the water gun to shoot everyone and we shoot him down. It is really exciting festival and first time join the event.

I have a great announcement before I share my further report to you. I had met a Thai-Chinese lady whom is also a Christian. She will be working together with me on the mission trip as well we will be coming back together to KL. During our relationship, the Lord had used my friends that don’t know her, only saw our picture, made a statement to us, go ahead the Lord is backing me on this and we feel comfortable with each other. We will be getting marry this coming Tuesday at the Thai church. As the Bible said “The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favour from the Lord” - Book of Proverbs 18 v 22 and “this explained why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and two are united into one” - Book of Genesis 2 v 24. Praise the Lord over and over again as the joy and love in the Kingdom of Heaven. Below is the small church that I am leading as well our wedding is going place. Almost forget to mention her name, her name is Jenny and she is same age with me.

On Saturday (April 12th, 2008), I was invited to attend a public evangelism place in the Lumpini Park (it is the national garden park) in the early morning and also to collect the picture. When the pastor said that anyone want to share the testimony, I took the opportunity to come out to speak and I never any share testimony but the share the powerful message of the Word of God to them. When I asked them to join hand together and pray together, one lady falled down and cried till I went over there, lay my hand on her head…then she start to stand up and stop crying. Then another young man (black colour shirt in the picture), came out and asked for healing on his knee and another miracle of healing happen. One elderly man came forward and asked me to pray for him, then I pray for him and each time I speaks in the prayer, he hugs me tighten and tighten till the Amen. One of elderly lady had a hearing problem, asked me to pray for her and then she can hear better. Miracles happen in the public area…Praise the Lord as the Lord is working in them. Believe it the Power of the Lord is much more greater than everything, we must fully trust and obey His Commandments.

Yesterday, Sunday, I was preaching in the Laksi Church and not many members turn up as it is Songkran Festival, everyone was back to hometown. I had conducted communion service (bread and wines) and also water baptism in the pool. Below is one the member being baptism. As Jesus in the Book of Matthew 28 v 19 - “Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit”. A week ago, the baby that I was carried him, was having virus infection, I prayed for this baby for the speed recovery and the baby was healed. All the credits back to the Lord for the touch and Halleluyah!

One brother from KL, asked me to stay back in KL for a longer period, at least 1 week plus to raise the mission funds for India and he willing to bear the differences for the air-fare. Praise the Lord and I agreed to it. Therefore, I am still seeking for a place for held a day conference…my time and date is still not confirm. Not only that, I also want to know how many people would like to attend as well bring your friends to listen (bring the non-christians especially). The conference that I will be preaching and sharing is;

1. Evangelism (Share joy and love from the first till last. Wait for the Spirit to be filled first, then only share the Good News)
2. Judging (Within the communities, they are judging…why? And it is healthy to judge?)
3. Extremist religions (Why people call them extremist or they are not extremist but of the hatred being forces by others)
4. Prophesy on the End Time (Global disaster is coming such as war, economy and etc as refer to Book of Daniel)
5. Share my vision and great testimony from God.

With the Grace of the Lord, the the one year trip will focus on Hindu cultures in this area of the world that is often referred to as 'the heart of darkness.' The purpose of our trip is fourfold:

- Church planting in Morbi, State of Gujarat
- Adopt the orphan babies working closely with Mother Theresa Mission of Charity at Morbi as babies need new parents
- Evangelize and Crusade with HIV/AIDS villages in State of Andhra Pradesh
- Leading Youth Pastors Conference and give lecturing to the pastors in State of Tamil Nadu
- Start a small children ministry to guide the children

We are excited about the opportunity and experience that lie ahead. We hope that you see the value in what we will accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise RM 21,000 by end of April 2008. If you can support me in a financial way, I would be very grateful. And, most importantly, I also need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry in these countries. Without prayer, nothing will happen.

While money is important, it comes in a distant second to my need for your prayer support. Since prayer support is so important to the success of this mission, I would like to know if I can count on you in that area.

Blessing,
Pastor Steve Peter H S Kok

FIRST MISSION OBJECTIVE STILL NO NEGLECTED

Shalom All,

After a long day break while working on the church members, I reviewed back my mission objectives that the Lord asked me to do. When I read back Isaiah 49, it is really make me realised on the past and current situation. Let me explain one by one verse and the main topic is “The Lord’s Servant Commissioned”.

v 1 - Listen to me, all you in distant lands! Pay attention, you who are far away! The Lord called me before my birth; from within the womb he called me by name. (The Lord was calling all the people from far away and asked them to pay more attention. Before I was born and still in my mother womb, the Lord already called my name - this is applied to everyone and the Lord is a planner since beginning).

v2 - He made my words of judgment as sharp as a sword. He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand. I am like a sharp arrow in his quiver. (The Lord had protected me since I was young as I never fall into bad company like getting involved in illegal activities since 3 years old. Moreover, I was not staying with my parents as they divorced and under care of the babysister 24 hours 7 days 365 days. Till I was 15 years old, I left the house, and my father rent a room for me. I have been naughty for awhile and make stupid mistakes but the Lord had sharper me up from further harm).

v3 - He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory.” (Since the Lord spoke to me the second time after the Holy Spirit spoke to me, I had been called to do the Lord’s Commissioned and you can see all my reports keep saying “Praise the Lord or All Glory I received, I return back to the Lord or etc”)

v4 - I replied, “But my work seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose. Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.” (Since I started working for the people around, it seems that I can’t stay put as my objective still uncertain even I have a MBA degree. Then I tried to start the Web education business and spent lots of effort to it in order to get funds and keep the project rolling but also failed at last. When I return back to the Lord, I start to understand the Lord has a purpose for me when I used Jabez prayer everyday and put full trust in the Lord. Whenever in the past I decided to leave it to the Lord to lead the way and just obeys Him fully).

v5 - And now the Lord speaks - the one who formed me in my mother’s womb to be his servant, who commissioned me to bring Israel back to him. The Lord has honoured me, and my God has given me strength. (When the Lord spoke the second time, the Lord said “You are given the knowledge and guidance”. Then the Lord showed me in my dream “Talk to the Tribes and they will be friendly with you”. The strength is the knowledge and guidance.)

v6 - He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.” (During my mission in Thailand, the Lord sent me to India to share the love and joy with the people there, same go to Thailand. I received comments from people around, some said that I have full joy and love, some said that I am the light that can led them to God, some said that I am sent by God to them and etc. This is the light of God to me that I shine on them. The Lord had commissioned me to prepare the End Time Commandment to everyone as it is getting closes while bringing Tribes of Israel people back to Israel)

v7 - The Lord, the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel, says to the one who is despised and rejected by the nations, to the one who is the servant of rulers: “Kings will stand at attention when you pass by Princes will also bow low because of the Lord, the faithful one, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you. (As a member of the church, the church also didn’t recognise my calling and denied me directly by judging me. The real servant of the Lord will know the truth. Once awhile I was walking in the street, one or two people bow down a little to me, then I smile back to them.)

Do open your heart truthfully and humbly as I pray for the Lord to touch you to recognise His Word nor mine or your word. Continue to provide you the wisdom to understand His Word and abide to His Commandment. Praise the Lord for His Glory! Amen!

Don’t stop reading, do continue to read the verse 8 onward. Within the scope, it is totally link to past, present and future ministry. If you want to look back on the mission, go to the blog/website for the information.

God Bless!

Blessing,
Pastor Steve Peter H S Kok

RECENT GATHERING IN BANGKOK AND UPDATE

Shalom All,

Let all that we are praise the Lord, with our whole heart, we will praise his Holy Name. Let all that we are praise the Lord, may we never forget the good things he does for us.

It seems that it is a long time that I never write a report…supposedly I am thinking about subject title above and my last one is on February 2008.

I had met a few senior pastors lately and share the vision of the End Time, evangelise the Thai and also my mission objectives in India. They were amazed that how God really use me during this period. Moreover, most of them unable to do the same things by surrendering everything (Book of Luke 9 v 3) like what I did. I had give up my car, donated stuffs, etc and I left nothing (no assets at all) except the two big bags…the most expensive items is my notebook and certificate of appreciation from Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad while I go everywhere to evangelism and to follow what God have ask me to do. Even before I go to Bangkok, I only left RM 400 (Thai Baht 3,400) in my wallet (this is all my saving) but God had provided me sufficient funds within a week before I depart and receive a love offering about RM 3,000 (Thai Baht 25,500). In India mission, I also left RM 820 (Thai Baht 7,000) before I leave Bangkok and God provide me again the sufficient funds with the total of USD 600 and spent 7 weeks in India while came back with the balance of USD 400 when I reached Singapore. Todate, my funds only left less than RM 700 only and I know that God will provide me as I don’t think about it and put my effort on His Work, the Lord will provide. Praise the Lord for everything and also blessed the people who is giving through their heart.

On the March 23rd, 2008, I was invited to join the gathering with the community at Lumpini Park in the morning together with a Bishop, Pentecostal pastors and a former senator. Many people who were doing their own sports activity got up the attention and attend the gathering. I was briefly introduced to the people as I am the only foreign pastor around.

Last Saturday, I was invited to attend the Thailand Bible Society launching over the new Bible “Thai - Chinese Bible” with 150 Thai pastors together with Hong Kong Bible Society staffs. We had spent time together and share our common topics on the commandment of God and Jesus Christ.

One of the Reverend, an advisor to the Prison Community, he had invited me to visit the prisons in Thailand and share the Word of God to them. I agreed to the visit as I also visited the prison in India too but it is the timing of God and not me. They will need to submit my application to the Prison Authority to allow me to visit them. Within this few weeks, I don’t think that I able to make it as well the application will take time, therefore I will go after my return from India.

Last Sunday, I attended a small church near my place and the name of the church is Laksi Church. It had started in 2003 and the congregation is about 17 members, in the small shop lot at the condominium without much growth. The pastor (also lecturer in the seminary) had invited me to join him to build the church after we had a long discussion, as you know that I need to go to Malaysia before depart to India in early May 2008. I agreed to be his co-team for these 3 weeks as a voluntary basis and build the community as well train the disciples (this is God vision to me). The members also asked me when are me going to preach the Word of God to them and even called Rabbi. It is amazing that the Lord’s work again and all Glory to the Lord.

On my previous email, I am planning to have a conference for two days in Kuala Lumpur but end up I have to postpone or cancel the event as I need to help the Laksi Church and I will be back to Malaysia around April 21st - 23rd and spend a week or less in Malaysia.

Blessing,
Pastor Steve Peter H S Kok

FREELY WE HAVE RECEIVED, FREELY WE GIVE: UPCOMING MISSION & CONFERENCE

Shalom and blessings to all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

“Freely you have received; freely give.” – Matthew 10:8

I pray that each of you continues to experience the mighty work of God in your life. May your hearts be touched by His love and your days filled with His peace.

As I reflect on my recent mission journey, I am reminded of how important it is to first share love and joy with the people we meet, even before introducing the Gospel. The Good News is best received when hearts are softened by genuine compassion, not pressure.

A Journey Led by the Spirit

Throughout this mission, I have seen the hand of God moving powerfully, not through my strength, but by His grace alone.

Whether calling for rain (and seeing it come like the days of Elijah), witnessing healing, or casting out demons, I know this one thing for sure: It is all the work of God.

Some have told me I am like a light, bringing joy and love to those in darkness, but all glory belongs to the Father, the Creator of the world, who anoints and uses His servants for His Kingdom.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16

Let us always lift up our hands in thanksgiving to the Lord, for He alone is worthy.

Upcoming Travel Plans

By the grace and will of God, I will be returning to Kuala Lumpur in mid-April 2008, and shortly after, I will depart for Singapore at the end of April, where I’ll stay for three days before continuing my next mission to India.

Two-Day Conference in Kuala Lumpur – Seeking Venue & Date

While I am in Kuala Lumpur, I am planning (God willing) to conduct a two-day conference, where I will share what the Lord has placed on my heart.

This conference is free of charge, as the Lord has reminded me that salvation is a gift, freely given through Jesus Christ. We give because He first gave everything for us.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8

Conference Topics:

  1. Evangelism through Love & Joy
    • Sharing the Gospel begins with showing genuine love and joy. Wait upon the Holy Spirit’s guidance before speaking.

“Be filled with the Spirit.” – Ephesians 5:18

  1. Judging Within Communities
    • Why is there so much judgment within the Body of Christ? Is it healthy? How should we respond biblically?

“Judge not, that you be not judged.” – Matthew 7:1

  1. Understanding Extremism
    • Are so-called extremist groups truly extreme, or are they misunderstood and driven by fear or hatred from others?

  1. Prophecy and the End Times
    • Sharing visions and insights from the Book of Daniel and other prophetic Scriptures regarding upcoming global events such as war, economic instability, and disasters.

“The wise will understand.” – Daniel 12:10

  1. Personal Testimonies & Vision from God
    • I will share what God has shown me, along with testimonies from the mission field that glorify His name.

Final Words of Encouragement

Dear friends, I did not plan this conference for fame or promotion. The Lord simply said:
“Do it, and charge nothing.”

And so, I obey, just as Jesus paid the price for our salvation, we are to offer freely the love, truth, and joy of the Kingdom.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” – Matthew 22:37

Please keep this upcoming mission and conference in your prayers—for God’s leading, protection, provision, and power.

I am excited for what God will do, and I look forward to meeting many of you soon.

God bless you all.

With love and blessings,
Pastor Boaz Kok
